Terms of Use

Effective June 9, 2026.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of taxcleanse.com and the guides, checklists, and services offered through it (the "Site"), operated by TaxCleanse ("TaxCleanse," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, buying a guide, downloading a resource, or submitting the review form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

What TaxCleanse Is

TaxCleanse publishes educational information and self-help guides about common IRS problems, and, when you request it, connects you with independent licensed tax professionals for an initial review. TaxCleanse is a publisher and a referral service. It is not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a tax representation firm, and it does not prepare returns or represent taxpayers before the IRS.

Educational Purpose and No Professional Advice

Everything on the Site, including the guides and checklists, is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional who knows your facts.

Using the Site, buying a guide, downloading a resource, or submitting the review form does not create an attorney-client relationship or any accountant, enrolled-agent, or other professional relationship with TaxCleanse.

Tax law is complex and changes often. Information on the Site may become outdated or may not apply to your situation. You are responsible for verifying current law and for your own filings, decisions, and dealings with the IRS. Consult a licensed professional before you act.

No Guarantee of Results

We do not promise any particular outcome. We do not guarantee that the IRS will accept any request, approve any program, reduce any balance, remove any penalty, or release any lien or levy. Outcomes depend on your specific facts and on IRS discretion.

Any examples, general descriptions, or references to court decisions are for education only. Some decisions may be subject to appeal. They do not predict or guarantee your result. Any testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not typical or guaranteed.

Not Affiliated with the IRS

TaxCleanse is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Internal Revenue Service or any government agency.

The Free Review

Submitting the review form is a request for an initial, no-obligation assessment by one or more independent licensed tax professionals. It does not guarantee that any professional will take your case, that you qualify for any program, or that you will reach any particular result.

By submitting the form, you agree that we may share your information as described in our Privacy Policy and that you may be contacted by phone, text, and email about your inquiry. The professionals we connect you with are independent. TaxCleanse is not responsible for their advice, services, fees, or conduct, and any agreement to hire a professional is solely between you and that professional.

Purchases, Pricing, and Refunds

Guides and bundles are digital products delivered electronically. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change. Payment is handled by a third-party payment processor whose terms also apply to your purchase.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If a guide does not help you, email info@taxcleanse.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund the price you paid.

License and Intellectual Property

The guides, checklists, text, graphics, and design on the Site are owned by TaxCleanse and protected by copyright and other laws. When you buy a guide, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, share, publish, or reproduce the materials, in whole or in part, without our written permission.

To discourage unauthorized sharing, purchased files may be marked with the name and email of the buyer. Sharing a purchased file may make you responsible for unauthorized copies traced to your purchase.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by scraping or harvesting data, attempting to breach security, interfering with the operation of the Site, infringing intellectual property, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaxCleanse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Site, the content, or any third-party professional. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid to TaxCleanse in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars if you paid nothing.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TaxCleanse from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, that arise from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of others.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please contact us first at info@taxcleanse.com so we can try to resolve any concern. If we cannot, you and TaxCleanse agree to resolve any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. The arbitration will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, administered under recognized consumer arbitration rules, and held in California or by remote means.

You and TaxCleanse agree that claims will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as part of any class or representative action, and each party waives any right to a jury trial. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing info@taxcleanse.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect the rest of the Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, any dispute that proceeds in court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Other Terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the Site. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TaxCleanse about the Site.

Electronic Communications

By using the Site and giving us your contact information, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, and you agree that electronic communications meet any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.
